The AKC’s Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Jerry Klein says CBD has been used with dogs with the following benefits: anti-inflammatory properties, cardiac benefits, anti-nausea effects, appetite stimulation, anti-anxiety impact, and for possible anti-cancer benefits, although there are no conclusive studies on CBD's use in dogs.

CBD is being used by holistic veterinarians to treat a variety of ailments, including inflammation, anxiety and pain in cats. It has also been used to help asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, arthritis, seizures and pancreatitis.

CBD and Hemp Oil

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of many cannabinoid molecules produced by the hemp plant.
