Weekly Message

Making Our Lives Different

Would you like your life to be different? Visualize what you would like your life to look like and then create it. Expect the best in life and then be willing to plan and work for it.

In order for us to follow this idea to completion, we need a clear mental picture of what we desire. We also need to accept the concept that the Holy Spirit will give us all that we need.

How would you like your life to be? Remember, we cannot change other people, we can only change ourselves, so when we are visualizing our ideal life, we need to see ourselves as being different.

Visualize what you would like your life to look like and then create it. Maintain this picture constantly, with the certainty that Divine Spirit will supply any rightful desire. But what is a rightful desire?

Some of us might visualize our having millions of dollars and untold material possessions as being the ideal life. But, in our visualizations we need to keep our purpose in being here at the forefront of our minds. Will money and things help us grow closer to God and eventually find our way home? We are here to learn and grow and eventually become co-workers with God.

We also need to look at what keeps us from having the life we desire right now in this very moment in time. What is holding us back? Doubts, fears, and insecurities are the usual culprits that metaphorically nail one of our shoes to the floor as we struggle to go forward in life.

Old messages we have stored in our minds are often what is at the root of these doubts, fears and insecurities. These old messages tell us we are not good enough, strong enough, capable enough, or just plain enough. We need to recognize these messages, remove them and replace them with new messages that affirm our enough-ness.

We need to tell ourselves that we have what it takes to fulfill our vision of a better life. We are capable, good, strong, and wise. Working with the Holy Spirit we can indeed make a difference in our lives.

May the God of love add a blessing to these humble words.
AMEN
