Do You Want to Change the World?

Lao Tzu said ““When pure sincerity forms within, it is outwardly realized in other people's hearts.” Likewise, when love forms within, it it outwardly realized in other people.

But many times we shut down our hearts because we have been hurt, or when we face difficult times. We close off the very part of us that shares who we really are with others.

What this does is distances us from others. It forms a barrier that many people do not want to cross. So, we get less love and positive attention. Getting less love reaffirms to us that wither we are unlovable or there is something wrong with the people who usually love us.

Our distance creates more distance until we end up feeling isolated and alone. So we shut down even further.

But what do you think would happen if, instead of shutting down, we processed and released our hurts, or we worked through our difficulties and released them? If we kept our hearts open, yet took care of ourselves around the hurts, we would still be able to love ourselves. We would also be able to love others in ways that surprise us.

When we open our hearts to the world, and we send out loving energy, the loving energy magnetizes people to us. Anyone and everyone who needs or wants love is immediately attracted to us. We are a beacon of love.

Do you really want to change the world? You can do so by changing yourself into a receptacle for God’s love and let it flow through you to everyone you encounter.

May the God of love add a blessing to these humble words.
